Grade 11 Visual Art: AVI 3M
In Grade 11 Visual Art students continue to explore the four basic areas of art-making (drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking) with a special emphasis on skill development and personal creativity. In the studio, a wide variety of media and techniques are investigated, from realism to abstraction to experimental approaches. Students study Western Art history from the Renaissance to Romanticism as well as other pertinent eras and styles of art from around the world. Because this is an 'M' level credit (bound for College or University) there are some academic components to the course to round out the hands-on activities.
